Singapore is best in small doses
After two months of working at EyeWonder, it's reinvigorating and self affirming to come home and see my family and friends.
24th Dec Wednesday
Landed in SG at 1020pm, took my time buying DFS and taking the train home... and walked into my front door at home at the stroke of midnight... just as my parents watched the count down. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 your son is home!
25th Dec Thursday Christmas
Quality family time. Talked with mum and dad, helped prepare meals, went marketing together. It was lovely.
26th Dec Friday Boxing Day
Maternal grandparents visited, hun out with them and my parents.
Met Gad for lunch and chit chat at Holland Village.
Attended Pei's small gathering for Christmas at her house. Spent time with pei, john, sam, danny and his gf, cedric and lidja, guru and jo among others showed up.
27th Dec Saturday
Bought my new Casio calculator watch at Mustafa!
Adam picked me up and we went for a christmas buffet dinner at Guo Jun's house.
Met Veron at Zouk for Ferry Corsten. Met half the world there, it was great to see so many friends. Partied on till 7 at Living Room Marriot after zouk closed at 6am.
28th Dec Sunday
Slept 5 hours but somehow felt rested and up to it swimming 12 laps at the Clementi pool and tanning to good music in my ipod.
Hung out with Karl and Karen but missed catching Ina at BluJazz who joined john, kristine and others for dinner.
29th Dec Monday
Applied for No-criminal record certificate for aussie visa purposes at Outram Park.
Played ps3, watched movies and had dinner with John and Pei at Adam's house.
30th Dec Tuesday
Bought some nice clothes at Topman
Met Serene at Liat Towers starbucks and caught up
Met Victor, Derek and bumped into Cedric and Lidja at Cuscaden
Went to Liat Burger King to meet Zom, Juls, Ted, Yixiang, Ben Wong and passed gifts to zom and kristal
Met Keith at Pandan Valley for a good chat and catch up.
31st Dec Wednesday New Years Eve
Joined Amanda's NYE potluck at her house. Met Yip there!
Followed Amanda to One26 at East Coast big splash area for the countdown. Wax came down and we got, ok I got pretty sloshed.
1st Jan Thursday New Years Day
Went with my parents to West Coast Park and joined my paternal grandmother with aunts and uncles, picnicking and flying kites. Had lots of fun till the super heavy torrential rain turned it into a big wet extended family gathering under a gazebo.
Met Tara for dinner at Clark Quay and had an wonderful time. Reminded why that lady was worth every inch of love I've felt for her.
2nd Jan Friday
Started packing for the trip home
Sydneysider's Sunset Soiree at Seletar Air Base. almost twenty people showed up and I'm pleased and touched they made the trip. Great company, nice food, amazing place.
3rd January Saturday
I'm meeting Keith for lunch later at Riders Cafe at Eng Neo Avenue.
Then I'm coming home to finish packing and prepare to return to Sydney on my 10pm flight!
